wildcard / regular expression searches

Hello everybody,

does anyone know, if there is a relatively easy way to make Nutch use
wildcards and / or regular expressions for searching instead of the
default BooleanQuery?
I have already tried a more or less naive approach by replacing all
references to BooleanQuery with WildcardQuery in
org.apache.nutch.searcher.IndexSearcher, just to end up with more and
more errors due to inappropriate method calls.

Thanks in advance.
